On April 21, 1958, United Airlines Flight 736 was involved in a mid-air collision when the aircraft was struck by a US Air Force fighter jet. There were no survivors in both aircrafts.

42 passengers and 5 crew members on United Airlines Flight 736 died.

The student pilot and the instructor in the fighter jet both died.

This is Las Vegas' deadliest avaiation accident.

Event Location: Near the intersection of present-day South Decatur Boulevard and West Cactus Avenue in Enterprise, Nevada.
