On June 9, 1985, a steamline carrying 1000 degree steam burst open near the control room. Ten people were injured. Six people were killed: Michael Bowman, John Dolan, Ernest Hernandez, Terry Leroy, Danny Norman, Howard Turner.
The plant began operating in 1971, closed in 2005, and was demolished in 2011.
