This house was built in 1924. From 1924 to 1955, its location was in Goldfield, Nevada. This was the home of Edwin Scholfield Giles (mining engineer, surveryor). Giles' daughter, Edith Giles Barcus moved to Las Vegas in 1955. Barcus had the house relocated to Las Vegas. From 1955 to 1991 the house was located at 57 East Hacienda Avenue (present day corner of Mandalay Bay Road and Giles Street) and became an antique shop called the "Odd Shop". The house was relocated to the Clark County Museum in 1991.
