Historic Las Vegas neighborhood dating back to the 1950s.

On October 4, 1982, Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal departed Tony Roma's restaurant (620 East Sahara Avenue). When he started the ignition of his 1981 Cadillac Eldorado, the car exploded. Due to a defect in the vehicle, the car manufacturer had installed a metal plate underneath the driver's seat. Authorities credited the metal plate for saving Rosenthal's life. No one was ever charged for the crime. Frank Rosenthal was added to the Nevada Gaming Control's Black Book in 1988.

Listed on the City of Las Vegas Historic Property Register in 2016.
